That voice you hear when you call 9-1-1 spends at least 8 hours a day listening as your worst nightmares unfold.  In in those few minutes we are living that nightmare with you - dozens of times a day, everyday, for years.  Your worst day is our work day.

Sometimes, we are the last voice people will ever hear as we frantically and desperately try to save them. Men, women, children. Nobody is exempt.  We share in that suffering, and some of us will even experience tragic loss within the departments that we serve.

We are that voice in the dark.  Ours is a thankless job where we are too often unrecognized, under-represented, and even unappreciated.

We're going to change that.  Our mission is to be a resource and outlet for 9-1-1 Telecommunicators, to change the public perception of what our job entails through education and thoughtful discourse, to provide insight into self-care and wellness, and to celebrate, encourage, and uplift all of the wonderful souls in this profession.

... and have a little fun along the way.

Get to know the voices behind the headset as we celebrate each other and our profession, and talk candidly about what we go through as dispatchers.  I've hand-selected an amazing group of admins who are just as passionate about this as I am, and we are going to bring you something absolutely incredible.  Thank you for visiting, and don't forget to join our email list to be the first to know about upcoming events and blogs.

Thank you for what you do!
